Best Travel Destinations To Beat The Heat

With summer on the horizon, it has never been a better time to start booking your upcoming vacation to beat the incoming heat. Although some of the warmer destinations will have better deals, you might be able to score some amazing deals and a break from the brutal heat with these top travel destinations.

Australia

Because Australia has opposite seasons from our hemisphere, you will be able to catch an autumn breeze rather than a summer burn during your vacation. Plus, Australia is a huge country to choose from, so it’s important to carefully mark out your itinerary. However, if you have an extended vacation time, you can cover the majority of the country over a three-week stay. But, if you are limited, exploring the coast is just as fun!

Southern Maine Coast

The southern Maine coast is only an hour and a half from Boston, making it an easy travel destination to go to. Plus, they have tons of stuff do go along the cast such as tourist-friendly villages and rocky cliffs to admire. Additionally, nearby towns such as Moody, Ogunquit, and Wells in southern Maine usually only hit in the mid-70s during the summer, which makes it much cooler than other parts of Massachusetts. You can also visit a number of wildlife reservations and inlets to get the full outdoors Maine experience.

Rio de Janeiro

Winter in Rio is the best time to travel since you get to experience nice 75-degree weather, with less rain and fog conditions. Plus, on sunnier days, you can hit the cast where, on cooler days, you can explore the mountainside. Plus, the city has plenty of good eats such as the Bar do Mineiro and Esplanada Grill.

Nova Scotia

Since Nova Scotia summer temperatures can range anywhere from the 50s to 70s, there is plenty of cool weather to make your vacation worthwhile. Plus, there is plenty to do such as visiting Halifax or exploring the coastal side of Canada. Also, you can’t miss out on the province’s rappie pie, which is delicious mashed potatoes with either seafood broth or meat, exclusively made at Evelina’s located in Little Brook.

Amsterdam

Even at its warmest summer temperatures, Amsterdam only reaches an average of 72 degrees Fahrenheit. The nights cool down to the 50s, which make this city a perfect summertime destination. Explore the city’s rich culture, history, and food. Take a walk through Vondelpark, spend a day at the Van Gogh Museum, or visit the Anne Frank House. There is something for everybody to enjoy in Amsterdam.

French Polynesia

The dry season in Bora Bora and Tahiti runs from May to October, making the summer the perfect time to visit. Have yourself a relaxing beach vacation or plan an excursion to the Papenoo Valley to view the rushing waterfalls. You can also take in all the local culture has to offer by visiting one of the many local markets.

One of the best and most exciting things you can do in French Polynesia lies on the island of Bora Bora. Hop into a boat and go diving with the indigenous ocean wildlife. Just watch out for sharks! You can also go on an aqua safari during which you will be tethered to you boat, walking underwater along the sea floor.
